A simple place to list extra food and goods you make nearby.
Built for gardeners, homesteaders, and small local producers who want an easier way to share what’s ready—without turning it into a business.
How GreensShare Works
1. People list what they have

Local producers list food or goods they grow or make
Listings are tied to the location where things are grown or made and reflect what’s available now, what’s harvesting soon, or what’s coming later.
2. Neighbors find it nearby

Buyers browse a map to see what’s nearby
Instead of searching abstractly, people see what exists around them and check back as availability changes with the season.
3. People connect directly

When someone’s interested, they message the producer
Details are worked out directly and locally, without intermediaries or pressure. Exchanges are simple and messaging here keeps your number private.
Early producers help shape GreensShare
GreensShare works best when it reflects how small local producers actually sell.
If you’re one of the early producers in your area, your listings help make the marketplace useful for everyone, and your feedback helps guide what gets built next.
There are no listing fees, no subscriptions, and no obligation to keep selling.
You can list when you have something available, pause when you don’t, and use the platform at your own pace.
Early producers receive basic perks like featured placement and early access to new tools, as a thank-you for helping get things started.
Why GreensShare exists
GreensShare was built to make local sharing simpler for people who already grow or make real things.
Many small producers rely on Facebook groups, messages, or word of mouth, even though it’s messy, time-consuming, and easy to burn out on.
At the same time, farmers markets and traditional platforms often assume you want to run a business, keep regular hours, or scale beyond what feels comfortable.
GreensShare sits in between these two.
It’s a simple place to list what you have, connect with people nearby, and keep things local—without needing to brand yourself, post constantly, or turn a hobby into something bigger than you want.
I built it as someone who grows and sells locally. I wanted a calmer, more practical way to share what’s ready, and I have already used it to share what I raise.
Ready to get started?
It’s free and easy to get set up — whether you’re planning ahead or already have eggs, honey, produce, or handmade goods.
